DRY NEEDLING
Sometimes muscles just don’t want to let go–and that’s where dry needling can make a big difference. At Harbinger Physical Therapy, I use dry needling as a tool to help reduce pain, release tight or overactive muscles, and get you moving better–fast.
Dry needing works by inserting a very thin, solid filament needle into the affected area or problem source. This helps to reduce tension, improve blood flow, and reset the nervous system’s grip on that area. It’s especially effective for stubborn pain or mobility issues that haven’t responded to stretching or massage alone.
I describe dry needling to my clients as a “Control-Alt-Delete” for the muscle or a hard reset.
I commonly use dry needling to treat things like:
Tight traps and upper back
Shoulder or hip pain
Low back stiffness
Quad, hamstring, or calf tightness
Overuse injuries and chronic muscle guarding
It’s not a stand alone fix–but when paired with strength work, mobility training, and solid movement patterns, dry needling can speed up the process and give you the relief you need to keep training and performing.
If your’ve got a muscle that’s constantly tight, achy, or just not firing right, dry needling might be the missing piece.
Let’s talk about whether it’s the right fit for your recovery plan.
